Trad Climbing is designed to give you an introduction to the world beyond top-roping. The main emphasis will be on placing protection, the use of directionals, and securing belays. Problem-solving scenarios and techniques to limit the risks involved with lead climbing will also be presented and discussed.
Prerequisite: intermediate climbing ability, knowledge of basic knots and belaying techniques. Personal gear may be used for this class ONLY with the approval of the instructor. Learn what it's like to be on the "sharp" end of the rope. Cost:
