Andy Hansen
Andy’s been rock climbing for 3 years and guiding for the last year and a half. He’s a NOLS Mountaineering graduate and a certified Single Pitch Instructor with the American Mountain Guides Association. Although he enjoys all disciplines of rock climbing his favorite is multi-pitch and thin finger cracks. When not climbing he can be found on his bicycle, taking photographs and hanging with his girlfriend Gina.
Chris Brooks
My name is Chris Brooks and I’ve been climbing for on and off for about ten years now. I’ve been guiding professionally for the past four seasons and I am also an American Mountain Guide Associated Certified Single Pitch Instructor. The things I like most about guiding are the great people you get to meet and share experiences with. Rock climbing is a very unique sport and it is awesome to see how people overcome the challenges of it. Besides being a guide I am also a student at the University of Wisconsin Whitewater and I’m looking forward to graduating this December.
Brian Schultz
I have been climbing for sixteen years and instructing/guiding for six and have climbed peaks and rocks across the country. I am experienced in traditional leading, sport and ice climbing, as well, of course, top roping. I am a retired teacher and enjoy guiding and teaching because I like seeing people learn, progress and just having a good time climbing.
Matt Kuehl
Matt has been climbing at Devil’s Lake since the age of 14 when he was first instructed on the essentials of anchor building. Since then he has continued to pursue climbing with a youthful excitement and eagerness to progress his ability to climb in the great outdoors. He is an adventure seeker with an obsession for leading tradition and multi-pitch climbs; few people have ever seen him top rope. Beyond Wisconsin Matt has climbed in Minnesota, Kentucky, Utah, Nevada and California. He believes the pursuit of climbing has positively shaped him into the person he is today.
When Matt is not climbing or guiding you can still find him hanging from ropes across the country shooting photos. As an aspiring adventure sports photographer Matt spends more time behind the lens than in front of it. He wants to share his love for climbing through his photographs and hopes they will inspire even non-climbers to get outside and pursue their passions.
Ryan Adams
Ryan Adams has been climbing for over 10 years. He has climbed in over 40 different climbing areas in 16 States and Provinces. Ryan is a certified single pitch instructor with the American Mountain Guides Association and has first aid training as a wilderness first responder with the Wilderness Medicine Institute.
You don’t see your guide? Don’t worry, chances are they forgot the camera in the car on their last climbing trip and we will get their profile up soon.
