Adventure Rock offers several great ways to put a new twist on scout outings.
There are many options for scouts to utilize Adventure Rock. We try to make it easy and can accommodate your scout group’s specific needs.
Scout Night
On Sunday nights (from 6:00pm-10:00pm), Adventure Rock offers $10 Day passes or $12 Clip’N Go for scouts. No reservations necessary. Scouts must wear some version of their uniform. This program is intended for smaller groups of scouts( less than 8). If you have a large troop we encourage you to make a reservation for private instruction.
NOTE: All participants must have a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian to climb or belay. To save time at the door please fill out your waiver by clicking here!
Clip’N Go
Clip’N Go is perfect for smaller scout groups . Participants can come in any time the gym is open and get climbing with a 15 minute lesson.
Price: $18 per Climber (price includes orientation, harness, and use of the facility for the day)
Group Climbing
This class will instruct participants on the proper way to wear a harness , basic climbing techniques and lots of climbing. Chaperones will be taught how to help with our Clip’N Go stations and are encouraged to try their hands (and feet) at rock climbing.
Time: 2 hours
Cost: 1-8 participants $128 Each extra $16
20+ participants $260 Each extra $13.00
20+ Day Rate $200 Each extra $10
(Day Rate is good for weekdays in Sept. through May only. Must end by 3pm)
Requirements: 1 chaperone per 4-5 participants and a minimum of two weeks notice.
From the Ground Up
We provide “Ground-Up” instruction on everything you need to know to climb at Adventure Rock in the future. This introductory course covers how to use a harness, knot tying, proper belay techniques and safety commands.
Time: Three hours
Cost: 1-8 participants is $144 (Each extra $18)
20+ participants is $300 (Each extra $15)
Requirements: Must be 14 or older. Max stay of 3 hours. A minimum of two weeks notice.
Rock-N-Lock-N
This is a great lock-in program for schools, churches, birthdays and groups. The first 2 hours of the program will be spent teaching the participants how to use the gym on their own. The gym closes to the public at 10pm and your group will then have the facility to themselves. The program includes an evening snack and light breakfast.
Time: 8pm-8am. By reservation.
Cost: 1-15 participants $525 , $35 ea. additional participant
Requirements: One chaperone per 8 participants.
Scout Badges
Adventure Rock offers classes for both Boy Scouts and Girls Scouts to earn their climbing related badges. These classes will cover all the required skills.

Requirements: Min. of 5 participants. Minimum of 2 weeks advance notice.
SPECIAL: Combine your badge training with the Rock-N-Lock-N for a $15 additional fee (min. 15 participants).
Does your troop want to hit rocks at Devil’s Lake State Park?
All climbers, no matter what program they come in for, need to have a properly filled out Release of Liability waiver. Any climber under the age of 18 years must have their Parent or legal guardian sign their waiver.
